Invited to a press conference this Thursday, Geoffrey Kondogbia returned to the dramatic events which took place last Sunday in Marseille, on the sidelines of the OM-OL match.

It was a nightmare evening that is still in everyone’s memory. On the sidelines of the closing clash of the 10th day of Ligue 1 between OM and OL, Sunday evening, the Lyon bus was stoned on its arrival at the VĂ©lodrome stadium and Fabio Grosso injured in the eye. Incidents which caused the match to be postponed.

While in front of the media this Thursday, Geoffrey Kondogbia returned to this evening. “We experienced it a bit like everyone else. A fairly nightmarish evening, which has no place in football at all. Something unacceptable. We tried to move forward, even if it is not something simple. We had to prepare our week for this very important match for us,” confided the former Colchonero.

“A lot of frustration, disappointment, disgust”

And to continue: “A lot of frustration, disappointment, disgust. It was an evening of entertainment, it was something we looked forward to. On a sporting level, we wanted to continue. On a human level, it struck us. This is unacceptable. Afterwards, we are no longer used to seeing other images. We saw a really nice image on Thursday (against AEK Athens, editor’s note). In the stadium, it’s always sold out, we have a lot of people every time, wonderful supporters. It was outside the stadium, but it is still unacceptable for us. »
