The LFP revealed this Tuesday, via a press release, the new date of the match to be replayed between Montpellier and Clermont, stopped after a firecracker was thrown at the Auvergne goalkeeper.
On October 8, for the 8th day of Ligue 1, the match between Montpellier and Clermont was abruptly stopped in the 90+1st minute, while MHSC led 4-2. The reason ? A firecracker was thrown at the Clermont goalkeeper, Mory Diaw, who was forced to leave the pitch on a stretcher.
Last week, the LFP Disciplinary Commission indicated that the match would be replayed, behind closed doors, at the Mosson stadium. The body also sanctioned the Hérault club with a withdrawal of two points, one of which was suspended.
