Vinicius Junior was honored this Monday during the Ballon d’Or ceremony.

The Brazilian striker from Real Madrid received the Socrates Prize for his involvement in the associative and charitable sphere, and in particular his foundation for disadvantaged children.

Building on its image, the Instituto Vini Jr. was able to raise $125,000 last June, for the first anniversary of the association, in order to contribute to the education of young Auriverdes without resources.

Thus distinguished, Vinicius Jr. spoke on the stage of the Châtelet theater about the scourge of racism that he regularly suffers in Spain: “ I can talk about racism. How many times we have had to face racism… It’s important to fight against it together. We must continue this fight. I want to pass this message on to all the children watching us. »
