The Italian Football Federation (FIGC) delivered its verdict this Thursday concerning Sandro Tonali, accused of having made multiple sports bets in recent years.

The sanction fell. And as you might expect, it’s pretty salty. Newcastle’s transalpine midfielder, Sandro Tonali, received a firm 10-month suspension from the FIGC, due to multiple violations of the ban on sports betting applied to professional footballers, reports the Italian press.

The former Milanese will also have to carry out community service for 8 months. He therefore played his last match this season with the Magpies this Wednesday evening in the Champions League against Borussia Dortmund. Tonali will also miss Euro 2024.
