Bayern Munich manager Thomas Tuchel has joked that Harry Kane is so calm in front of goal it looks like he’s just had a beer.

Kane scored the decisive second goal in Bayern Munich’s 3-1 Champions League win over Galatasaray on Tuesday, a match the Bundesliga side could have easily lost. Tuchel’s side endured a difficult first half in Istanbul but fought back to claim top spot in Group A.

After the match, Tuchel told Amazon Prime Video: “He (Kane) is calm as a beer. When you have scored 4,800 goals in your career, you have less pulse.

“But Harry also had to fight today and defend himself. He recovered more balls in the second half, which also played a role. He has a very natural self-confidence and knows that he doesn’t need many chances.

Kane, who scored his 11th goal in 12 appearances for Bayern since his move from Tottenham, said:“Yes, (it was) probably a typical goal for a number 9. The boys worked well on the right, I had a bit of space, I was in the right place at the right time. Fortunately, I was able to finish the job. »
