While there was concern for Jonathan Clauss after his outing against Nice on Saturday, the French side should be able to hold his place against AEK Athens.
Olympique de Marseille had a complicated evening on Saturday in Nice. Firstly because the Ciel et Blanc lost 1-0, thus remaining stuck in the soft underbelly of Ligue 1 with an eighth place and only 12 points after nine days.
The Olympian club also saw its infirmary fill up since Jonathan Clauss and Pau Lopez had to come out injured. But according to La Provence, the news is reassuring concerning the French side, who could even hold his place against AEK Athens on Thursday in the Europa League.
However, uncertainty remains for the Spanish goalkeeper, who suffers from a muscle injury, and must undergo examinations this Monday to find out the exact nature of his injury.
