The Al-Nassr striker scored his 126th and 127th international goals in the victory for Roberto Martinez’s team.
Cristiano Ronaldo once again scored goals in Portugal’s victory over Bosnia-Herzegovina, as he is currently experiencing a second youth. The Selecao led 4-0 after half an hour, and scored five goals at halftime, winning 5-0 and maintaining a perfect record in the Euro 2024 qualifiers.
Coach Roberto Martinez has deployed a full team, even if qualification for next year’s tournament is already assured.
And his team wasted no time in damaging Bosnia-Herzegovina. Ronaldo opened the scoring in the 10th minute, converting the penalty after a handball in the opponent’s area. The striker added a second goal 15 minutes later, taking a pass from Joao Felix and lifting the ball over the keeper.
Bruno Fernandes sealed the fate of the match shortly after, beating the Bosnian defense and sending the ball into the back of the net. Joao Cancelo scored the fourth goal in the 32nd minute, with a curling shot into the top corner. And Félix, taking advantage of a lapse in defense, scored his team’s fifth goal.
Martinez made rotations in the second half, and the team, very changed, did not create much.
