Benatia at OM, it’s burning

With Javier Ribalta gone, OM must appoint a new executive in the coming days, who should be Mehdi Benatia.

Its football director gone, burned by the recent falling out with the supporters, OM has clearly planned to shake up its organizational chart.

In addition to Javier Ribalta, sports director David Friio could also be leaving; and the profile targeted by Pablo Longoria to claim to replace the two men mentioned.

The priority choice for the boss of the Olympians is indeed none other than Mehdi Benatia. Trained at OM, where he never played professionally, the former Bayern and Juve defender has built an important network as an agent since his retirement from sports two years ago.

The 36-year-old former Moroccan international could be inducted by the end of the week, if ongoing contract negotiations are successful.
