Three Italian internationals are seriously concerned for sports betting on illegal platforms.

The noose tightens a little more on Nicolo Fagioli. The Juventus midfielder, 22, is said to have bet a total of one million euros in online sports betting operations on illegal platforms, Italian media indicate.

The young player, under investigation by the Italian Football Federation (FIGC) since August, admitted the facts, his lawyer said. The scandal is growing because he is not the only one.

Two of his teammates from the Italian national team, Sandro Tonali (Newcastle) and Nicolo Zaniolo (Aston Villa), were reportedly questioned by the police late Friday while they were with the team coached by Luciano Spalletti.

Tonali and Zaniolo were then asked to leave the Azzurri, replaced by Samuele Ricci (Torino) and Stephan El Sharaawy (AS Roma). Other names could come out very soon, reported his side La Repubblica.
