After the prolific draw between Inter and Bologna (2-2), the 8th day of Serie A continued this Saturday with a confrontation between Juventus and Torino. A Derby della Mole which ended with a victory for the Bianconeri against their rival and neighbor Turin thanks to two goals from Federico Gatti and Arkadiusz Milik. A success which allows the Old Lady to get back on the podium to keep up with the pace set by the leading teams in the Italian championship.

But if Juventus won without trembling on their lawn, the Paul Pogba case is still on everyone’s minds while the French midfielder was confirmed positive for testosterone. Suspended as a precaution by the Anti-Doping Tribunal with a minimum salary of 40,000 euros while being sidelined from the professional group, for training in particular, “La Pioche” now has seven days to present its defense and its arguments in order to avoid a very heavy sanction for having violated articles 2.1 and 2.2 of the Codice Sportivo Antidoping di NADO Italia (CSA).

Massimiliano Allegri very pessimistic

But while no sanction has yet been pronounced against Paul Pogba beyond his suspension as a precautionary measure, Massimiliano Allegri made comments which leave little room for doubt concerning the future of the French international. “Football loses an extraordinary player who was different from all the others. Let’s wait for the sanction. This saddens us all, we hope the best for him, because on a psychological level it must not be easy for him”said the Turin coach after Juventus’ victory this Saturday.

A very strong announcement which clearly shows that pessimism reigns in Turin. In any case, the Italian technician no longer expects to see Paul Pogba in training again despite the new defense strategy of the 2018 world champion who has turned to an English law firm. However, if Massimiliano Allegri’s statements are confirmed, it will indeed be an incredible loss for football. But before that, the defense has the floor. To be continued…
