Layvin Kurzawa costs PSG a fortune

What happens to Layvin Kurzawa? Loaned last season to Fulham, the Frenchman made his comeback to Paris Saint-Germain. This summer, the 31-year-old took part in the Ile-de-France club’s pre-season tour of Asia. Although he was rather convincing, the former Monegasque still does not seem to attract the favor of his trainer, Luis Enrique. And for good reason, the Parisian full-back was not included in the list for the Champions League and has not yet played a single minute with the reigning French champion since the start of the season. However, with the new relapse of Nuno Mendes, Layvin Kurzawa could offer an additional solution to Luis Enrique in the left lane.

But according to the revelations of The Team in today’s edition, “it is difficult to see the 31-year-old as an immediate alternative”. Proof in support, Luis Enrique preferred to shift Marquinhos to the left side to give Lucas Hernandez a breather rather than relying on the services of the native of Fréjus. Under contract until June 2024, Layvin Kurzawa is aware of his privileged situation in terms of his salary (600,000 euros gross monthly) but his state of form raises questions as he remains in two blank seasons with the Ile-de-France team. However, the Frenchman seems to be patient.
