Stade Rennais was content with a goalless draw on the Montpellier pitch this Sunday.

And five! Five consecutive draws in the league for Stade Rennais, forced to share points by Montpellier this Sunday at La Mosson, as part of the 6e lifting of Ligue 1. After opening its season with a card against Metz (5-1), the Bretons successively came up against Lens, Le Havre, Brest and Lille before coming up against the Pailladins (0-0).

Despite a good start to the match in Hérault, Rennes lacked the offensive energy to make the difference. Same thing for an MHSC which still touched wood through Khazri (61e). “ There may be a little fatiguesays Mandanda live on Canal+ to justify this parity score, three days after the great success signed against Maccabi Haifa in the Europa League (3-0). We fell just short of scoring this goal and winning today. We’re going to remember the positive, even if we don’t make much progress with this draw, we were solid, we didn’t lose and we didn’t concede a goal, that’s good. We will still have to win to get back to the top of the rankings. »

In the standings, in fact, the Rennais are not really progressing, confined to eighth place with eight units on the clock, in the wake of PSG and OM who face each other in the evening at the Parc des Princes. Montpellier for its part takes its sixth point of the season and climbs into 13the position.
