OGC Nice defeated AS Monaco (0-0) this Friday evening in Ligue 1. Starting in place of Wissam Ben Yedder, Folarin Balogun missed two penalties.

The first Riviera derby of the season is for the OGCN. At the opening of the 6th day of Ligue 1, Nice won at the end of the suspense against Monaco (0-1), this Thursday at Louis II stadium. After their victory at the Parc des Princes last weekend against PSG, the Aiglons take the lead in the championship ahead of their evening opponent, who may have major regrets.

Established at the forefront of the attack in place of Wissam Ben Yedder, Folarin Balogun experienced a nightmarish evening. The American striker, recruited for 30 million euros (excluding bonus) this summer, saw his two penalties saved by Marcin Bulka (12th and 54th). The former Rémois also touched the amount of the Polish goalkeeper at the end of the first period (45th + 4).

In a generally balanced match, Ndayishimiye also hit the mark for the Aiglons (77th). Coming into play in place of Balogun, Ben Yedder thought he would open the scoring, but his goal was logically canceled for an offside position (84th). And at the very end of the game, it was finally the Gym which took the lead thanks to a flash from Jérémie Boga (0-1, 90th+1).
