While Marcelino could leave his post as OM coach, Brandao offered his services to replace the Spanish technician.

Olympique de Marseille finds itself in the middle of a crisis, despite its third place in Ligue 1. This afternoon, The Team announced that Marcelino had warned the Marseille players that he was going to leave the club. In the early afternoon, Eurosport Spain informed us that Pablo Longoria had also made the decision to resign from his post as president.

On social networks, Brandao came forward to propose his candidacy as coach. “I’m already ready”warned the Brazilian, who moved to OM as a player between 2009 and 2012. “I know Ligue 1 very well and I have already won 7 titles”, the former striker also boasted. Apart from experience as an assistant coach at Londrina-PR, a Brazilian second division club, Brandao has never really held a coaching position.

If Marcelino’s departure is confirmed, it is Jean-Pierre Papin who could find himself on the Olympian bench, Thursday evening, for the trip to Ajax on the first day of the Europa League group stages. The Marseille club was eliminated during the third round of qualifying for the Champions League and therefore finds itself transferred to this competition.
