Since his arrival in Paris last summer from Naples, Fabian Ruiz was one of the nice surprises on the Parisian side last year. Capable of going into battle thanks to his physical power, the 27-year-old midfielder nonetheless remains a technical player who does not hesitate to project himself to show off his fine offensive skills. Thanks to his great first year in the capital, Ruiz was able to be recalled to the Spanish team thanks to the induction of Luis de la Fuente on the bench of La Roja. A return that the person concerned savors even though he was not called up by Luis Enrique between September 2021 and December 2022 during the latter’s mandate.

While the Spanish technician is now on the PSG bench, Fabian Ruiz returned with a touch of bitterness to this painful period with the Iberian press: “I don’t know why this happened. The coaches make decisions, I respect them, and the truth is that I don’t think much about what’s happening and I prefer to see the positive side of things. It’s a pride to come and represent my country, now I have it again and I’m very grateful.» As a reminder, Fabian Ruiz seems to be confined to a substitute status in Paris under the aegis of Luis Enrique who only started him once this season against Toulouse on August 19 (1-1).
