Lazio coach Maurizio Sarri was full of praise for his new recruit, Frenchman Mattéo Guendouzi.
Mattéo Guendouzi ended his stay in Marseille last week to take up a new challenge on the Italian side. The French international has signed a contract with Lazio from Rome.

Guendouzi was able to make his debut at the weekend during a trip to Naples. He played a key role in the success against the defending champion (1-1). And at the end of the match, Maurizio Sarri, the biancocelesto coach, could only take his hat off to him.

“I remember him as a player of great intensity. He can also bring us balance, because he also has good defensive qualities, so he can be very useful”did he declare.
During his time at OM, Guendouzi was often criticized for his nonchalance and his lack of respect for authority. Sarri hasn’t seen any of that in the short time he’s had the Habs under his thumb. “Even though he only had two training sessions with us, he seemed focused and quickly understood what we were telling him,” said the transalpine technician.
