PSG outclassed Lyon this Sunday evening at Groupama Stadium (1-4).
OL, after four league games, are at the bottom. A week after having opened their counter thanks to a goalless draw in Nice, Lyon relapsed heavily, severely beaten at home by a PSG which for its part confirms its rise in power. Eight days ago, it was a conclusive 3-1 that Luis Enrique’s men had inflicted on the outgoing vice-champion of Lens; they did even better at Groupama Stadium.
The Spanish technician to do this had renewed the same eleven as against the Sang et Or – thus confirming Asensio at the expense of Ramos in particular – and it did not take long for the Parisians to find the fault. A blunder from Tolisso quickly allowed Mbappé to convert a penalty (0-1, 4e) – the nightmare evening for Les Gones was on. In the process, Hakimi added to the addition at close range at the expense of a Lopes who had just returned to business (0-2, 20e). Then Asensio (0-3, 38e), and Mbappe (0-4, 45e+1), again he, worked to salt the note a little more.
At the antipodes of the field, Donnarumma, he performed miracles against Cherki or Tolisso; so much so that the Rhone public, after two flowery banners addressed to Barcola and Blanc in particular, accompanied their team to the locker room under a deluge of whistles. The second act, unfortunately for the Lyonnais, was of the same ilk – the goals conceded less. The Italian goalkeeper of PSG remained impassable or almost, when the red and blue arrows lacked precision to further worsen the score.

Shortly before the final quarter of an hour, Tolisso saved the honor of his family, on a penalty conceded by Zaire-Emery (1-4, 74e). The slap received by Lyon this Sunday evening is no less scathing. The international break may come at the right time for OL, who will eventually find their captain, striker Lacazette. Until then, the next two weeks could be hectic. They will certainly be appeased on the side of the capital where we already salute a hardworking and promising collective. A club which with eight points on the clock invites itself to second place in the elite, just ahead of OM, two lengths behind the Monegasque leader.
