In numerical superiority for a large part of the match, OM were hooked in Nantes, Friday evening in Ligue 1. A result which greatly worries Laure Bouleau as the entry into the running of the Marseille club in the Europa League approaches.

At the start of the 4th day of Ligue 1, Friday evening, Olympique de Marseille failed to win on the lawn of FC Nantes (1-1). However, Marcelino’s men found themselves in numerical superiority from the 9th minute of play after the expulsion of the young canary Meupiyou. It was therefore a draw with the taste of defeat for the Ciel et Blancs, who notably showed a glaring lack of efficiency. As was the case a fortnight ago in Metz (2-2).

Invited to comment on Marseille’s performance against Nantes, Laure Boulleau was not kind to Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and his partners. “No, it’s not reassuring and I even tend to worry when the same mistakes are repeated, she indicated on Canal + on Saturday evening. And it’s true that this match against Nantes reminds me of the match they had against Metz, with a feeling that for ten minutes it’s madness and then behind there is this relaxation… Mental or physical? I can’t really explain it, like this rather mind-blowing lack of efficiency. (…) Being stuck at eleven against ten is forbidden…”

“With that intensity, against Brighton…”

“When the European cup matches arrive it will also be another story. With that intensity, against Brighton…”, concluded the former PSG side. As a reminder, OM inherited a difficult group in the Europa League, along with Ajax Amsterdam, Brighton and AEK Athens. The residents of the Vélodrome stadium will begin this European campaign on September 21 on the ground of Ajax.

With these comments, Laure Boulleau has probably not helped her love rating with Marseille supporters… Already angry with her after her comments made with regard to Alexis Sanchez last season, the latter winced again when the former French international had a thought for the Portuguese striker of OM Vitinha at the time of the draw for the group stage of the Champions League. “I had a thought for Vitinha, who left this club to play in the Champions League, and Braga qualified, his former club. He must be heartbroken.”, she blurted out. A short sentence which of course did not fail to make the Olympian fans react.
