This Saturday, the Spanish Prime Minister wanted to salute the behavior of the Spanish players in the Rubiales affair.
It’s been almost two weeks since the team ofSpain won the very first World Cup in its history by beating England (1-0) in the final. Unfortunately, this historic result was tainted by a controversy that never ceases to fuel the debate: the stolen kiss from Luis Rubiales to Jennifer Hermoso at the time of the medal ceremony.
Double victory for Spain
“Spain is a feminist country”, praised Pedro Sánchez, speaking “of the women who have decided not to submit anymore. Never again. It’s over” https://t.co/WjG2n1fiIy

A case that has not been without reaction since the Spanish players have decided to strike and no longer wear the jersey of La Roja as long as Luis Rubiales will be the president of the RFEF. A gesture that was also welcomed by the Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez. “Our players have won twice: once on the pitch, and then teaching the world a lesson, a lesson in gender equality”he explained during a speech in Malaga, supporting the fact that Spain is a feminist country.
As a reminder, Rubiales has been suspended from his duties in domestic and world football.
