Sacred shock on behalf of the 3rd day of the Bundesliga where Bayern Munich moved on the lawn of Borussia Mönchengladbach. The Bavarians were keen to follow the tempo of the leader, Bayer Leverkusen, who had beaten Darmstadt (5-1) in the middle of the afternoon. Very quickly, Bayern Munich took the game on their own and got the first chances (2nd, 3rd, 11th), but could not force the lock of Gerardo Seoane’s Fohlen. Nathan Ngoumou then crossed for Rocco Reitz who missed his volley (24th) before Marvin Friedrich found the bar with a helmet shot (25th). A converted highlight for Borussia Mönchengladbach since on a corner kick from Alassane Pléa, Maximilian Wöber deflected with a header for Ko Itakura. The Japanese victoriously propelled the sphere into the right corner (1-0, 30th).

Sven Ulreich kept Bayern Munich alive following a strike from Julian Weigl (33rd). In the ropes, the Rekordmeister then reacted and Leroy Sané found the crossbar (38th). When they returned from the locker room, Bayern Munich returned with better intentions. Ko Itakura saved his team on the line following a header from Leon Goretzka (54th) before a recovery from Thomas Müller missed the target by a few centimeters (55th). In the end, these efforts were rewarded and Leroy Sané benefited from a good service from Joshua Kimmich to control from the chest and adjust the goalkeeper (1-1, 58th). Serge Gnabry then came close to giving the advantage to Thomas Tuchel’s team, but Moritz Nicolas was impeccable (70th). With a strike in front of the area, Joshua Kimmich came close to scoring in turn (77th) with Moritz Nicolas depriving Leroy Sané of a double (79th). Pushing to the end, Bayern Munich finally found the fault at the very end of the match thanks to Frenchman Mathys Tel (2-1, 87th). Eric-Maxim Choupo-Moting was close to widening the gap in the final moments (90th +3). Bayern Munich suffered, but offered a very important victory against Borussia Mönchengladbach. The Rekordmeister continues its flawless run.
