Abdoul Koné is popular in Saudi Arabia. According to our information, Al-Ittihad is interested in the RB Leipzig central defender for the next winter transfer window. Trained at Stade de Reims, the 21-year-old joined the German team last January for a fee of 21 million euros, before being loaned to the Champagne club to finish last season. The native of Neuilly-sur-Seine had played 28 Ligue 2 matches under the Reims colors.

Since his arrival in Germany, Abdoul Koné has struggled to get playing time. This season, he has only played one game with RB Leipzig, with only three minutes played in the Bundesliga against Elversberg (4-0), on October 24. A situation which could open the door to a departure as early as January, while Al-Ittihad is monitoring his profile.
