On the eve of the Champions League clash between Paris Saint-Germain and FC Barcelona, the tensions which shook France during the demonstrations of October 17 also raised questions around the continuation of the meeting. Despite the violence that occurred in several cities, the Minister of the Interior confirmed that the match would not be canceled. Present at a press conference before this European meeting, Luis Enrique was questioned about the security context and any possible concerns surrounding the holding of the meeting. The Parisian coach, however, quickly refocused the debate on the field, refusing to comment further on the situation.

” No. I’m not the ideal person to talk about this subject, I’m here to talk about football. We don’t like this type of violence. In my case, you have to stay focused on the football match. No, I’m not afraid, no fear. I hope the match can take place in the usual conditions”declared the Spanish technician. A firm response, faithful to its desire not to let itself be distracted from the sporting challenge, while PSG is preparing to meet Barça in a particularly anticipated match on the European scene.
