Tottenham experienced an evening full of emotions this Monday, with their first victory of the season in the Premier League against Coventry (3-1), but also the highly anticipated return of Dejan Kulusevski. Coming into play in the final minutes, the Swede returned to competition after 526 days of absence, having not played since May 11, 2025 against Crystal Palace. The attacking midfielder suffered a serious injury to his right knee, affecting the kneecap, which required an operation and long rehabilitation. Warmly welcomed by Spurs supporters, he was finally able to return to the field…

This return comes at a particularly important time for the London club, which finally launched its season thanks to goals from James Maddison, Omar Marmoush and Ben Davies. Beyond this precious victory, the return of Kulusevski represents a potential reinforcement for Roberto De Zerbi, who had praised the player’s resilience before the meeting. “He suffered enormously. He deserves to feel emotions on the pitch again”explained the Italian coach. Thus, the Swede can now hope to gradually regain his best level and provide a new offensive solution to Tottenham.
