The MHSC had to wait until the last minutes to make the difference against Red Star (2-1), this Monday, at the Stade de la Mosson. After a goalless first period, Mehdi Mégnan-Pavé launched the Montpellier team from the restart (47th), but Saîf-Eddine Khaoui quickly put the two teams back on level terms (51st).
The scenario then changed with the expulsion of Dylan Durivaux in the 70th minute. With numerical superiority, the Héraultais pushed until they found the fault thanks to Camara two minutes from time (88th).
This success allows Montpellier to consolidate its second place with 21 points, four lengths behind AS Saint-Étienne, still at the top of the ranking. For its part, Red Star remains sixth with 17 points and misses the opportunity to get closer to the podium, now two points behind.
