As mentioned in recent days, the FFF has decided to withdraw its support for Gianni Infantino in view of the next elections for the presidency of FIFA, scheduled for March 2027. Infantino’s aborted project to sell shares of the World Cup to controlled private funds was the last straw for many European federations, including the 3F, reports The Team.

This Thursday during the executive committee of the French Football Federation, Philippe Diallo recorded this withdrawal, as had already done by around ten European nations including England and Italy, while others should also take action in the coming weeks. The FFF therefore sides with UEFA and its president Alexsander Ceferin, who hope to get rid of the Swiss leader. As a reminder, the next elections for the FIFA presidency will be held in March 2027, during a congress planned in Rabat, Morocco.
