The new AC Milan coach, Rúben Amorim, has clearly decided to respond to Cristian Chivu before the clash between Juventus and AC Milan. Asked about the exit of the Inter coach, who felt that this meeting did not yet count in the race for the Scudetto, the Milanese technician did not seek to fuel the debate, preferring to send a particularly dry response: “I don’t want to respond to Chivu, I have nothing to say. I focus on our match. If we win we will be top of the table, that’s all that matters to me. » A very clear way to put the focus back on your team before this first real shock of the season.

Amorim, however, recognized the importance of this poster in Turin, while refusing to make it a meeting different from the others on a mental level. “For big clubs, these are always important matches, but there are no less important matches”he explained, before recalling Milan’s ambitions. The Portuguese was also critical of his team’s start to the season, particularly after the performance against Venice: “I am not satisfied with the match against Venice, and we have to do much better, especially against Juve. » A firm clarification before a meeting which could already allow the Rossoneri to take the lead in the Serie A standings in the event of victory.
