The multiplex of the 2nd day of the Bundesliga kept all its promises with 21 goals scored over the five matches. Borussia Dortmund signed one of the most spectacular scenarios by overthrowing Hoffenheim (3-2). Trailing 2-0 after goals from Avdullahu (45th) and Lemperle (54th), BVB reacted thanks to Serhou Guirassy (61st), before the striker transformed into a passer for Fabio Silva’s equalizer five minutes later. Dortmund finally snatched victory in the 87th minute with an own goal from Hajdari. Bayer Leverkusen also won, and in style. Beaten by the promoted Elversberg on the first day, Bayer corrected Union Berlin (4-0) thanks to Fernandez in the first minute, Medina (28th), Schick (48th) and Maza (66th). Conversely, RB Leipzig completely missed their trip to Werder Bremen. The locals won 3-1 with goals from Dinkçi (4th), Füllkrug (68th) and Grüll (80th) and a reduction in Baku’s gap in added time.
Elversberg, for his part, continues to surprise for his first steps in the Bundesliga. After beating Leverkusen on the first day, the promoted side achieved an incredible turnaround on the pitch at Borussia Mönchengladbach to win 4-3. Bolin opened the scoring in the 11th minute before Mokwa Ntusu equalized (29th), then Mönchengladbach took the lead thanks to a double from Bolin (44th) and Scally (56th). But Elversberg didn’t give up: Krattenmacher reduced the gap (66th), Keidel equalized (80th), before Krattenmacher scored twice and the winning goal in added time (90th+2). Finally, Freiburg mastered its trip to promoted Paderborn with a 1-0 victory thanks to Eggestein (26th). At the end of this multiplex, Freiburg, Dortmund and Elversberg provisionally occupy the Bundesliga podium, while Mönchengladbach is last after two defeats in two days.
