Nathanaël Mbuku will continue his career in Belgium. Saint-Trond has formalized the arrival on loan of the 24-year-old Congolese international left winger from Augsburg. A purchase option was also included in the operation. Stranded in Germany, the former Stade de Reims player is coming off a full season with Montpellier, where he played 30 Ligue 2 matches for four goals and five assists. Mbuku will now try to find more stability in Belgium after having multiplied his experiences in recent seasons.

Trained in Reims, Mbuku left his training club freely to join Augsburg in 2023. Since his arrival in Germany, he has never managed to settle down permanently and has had a series of loans, first to Saint-Étienne, then to Dinamo Zagreb and Montpellier, before this new adventure in Saint-Trond. International with the Democratic Republic of Congo and present during the last World Cup, the winger now hopes to take advantage of this fourth loan to regain playing time and convince the Belgian club to exercise its purchase option.
