Liverpool are close to finalizing the transfer of Bradley Barcola from Paris Saint-Germain. According to Fabrizio Romanothe negotiations are now directly in the hands of the leaders of the two clubs and an agreement would be very close. The 23-year-old French striker is heading towards a departure three years after his arrival in Paris. Pending a definitive outcome, Barcola was left out of the group and did not participate in PSG’s last three matches, against Aston Villa, Lens and Rennes. Under contract until June 2028, the French international would also have rejected an extension proposal from the Parisian club.
Recruited by PSG from Lyon for 45 million in the summer of 2023, Bradley Barcola has gradually established himself in the Parisian squad and also earned his place in the French team. Despite this progression, the former Lyonnais never became an indisputable starter during the most important meetings, notably remaining on the bench at the kick-off of the Champions League final. A situation which opened the door to a departure and sparked interest from Liverpool. The discussions have now entered their final phase and all that remains is for the two clubs to reach a definitive agreement to allow Barcola to continue his career in England.
