According to the German media Kickerinformation that we are able to confirm, Bayer Leverkusen is accelerating to recruit Guela Doué. The German club, which has made the right-back position its priority, would have above all received a very positive signal from the player: the 23-year-old Ivorian international is keen to join Bayer. Under contract with Strasbourg until June 2029, Désiré Doué’s brother would have sought information from former Leverkusen players before being convinced by the project presented by the managers.
The main obstacle now remains the agreement with Strasbourg concerning the transfer compensation.
