OGC Nice wants to strike hard in this final stretch of the transfer window. After having notably enlisted Gautier Hein and especially Elye Wahi, as part of a paid loan with a purchase option valued at 15 million euros, to strengthen its offensive sector, the Riviera club still wishes to bring a new weapon to its attack. And the Nice leaders have set their sights on a very explosive profile, namely that of Mohamed Amoura (26 years old).

A surprise file as the name of the Algerian international (48 caps) had until now circulated very little on the Allianz Riviera side. However, discussions have advanced in recent hours between the different parties to study the possibility of the arrival of the Wolfsburg striker. If the file is not yet 100% completed, it is on the right track.

A huge blow in preparation for Nice

A very nice move in perspective for OGC Nice, while Mohamed Amoura did not lack suitors this summer. Udinese, as we indicated to you, and Olympique de Marseille were particularly interested in his profile. Arriving in the Bundesliga in the summer of 2024 in the form of a loan, before committing definitively to Wolfsburg a year later, the former Union Saint-Gilloise player is coming out of a delicate season on a collective level, despite honorable individual statistics with eight goals and three assists in 33 games.

Indeed, Wolfsburg finished in the Bundesliga play-off place last season, before being relegated to the second division at the end of the play-offs. Despite this complicated context, the arrival of Amoura would constitute significant reinforcement for the Gym. Top scorer in African qualifying for the World Cup with Algeria (10 goals), the 26-year-old striker could bring his speed, depth and efficiency to the attack of the team coached by Olivier Pantaloni.
