Barça: a legend back!

This Monday, FC Barcelona announced the big return of one of its stars from the Guardiola era.

FC Barcelona is rather active in this 2026 summer transfer window. The Spanish champion has recruited Anthony Gordon, Karim Adeyemi and Jesse Bisiwu. Rodri and Joao Cancelo should soon join the Catalans in turn. In terms of departures, Robert Lewandowski, Marc André Ter Stegen, Ronald Araujo and Ansu Fati have packed their bags.

Busquets returns to Barça!

THE Blaugrana will also welcome one of their former legends: Sergio Busquets. Not on the pitch, the former Spanish midfielder having retired at the end of 2025 after his time at Inter Miami. In a press release published this Monday, Barça announced that the 2010 world champion will join the reserve team as assistant coach.

After 722 matches played and 32 trophies won with Barça, he is now Juliano Belletti’s assistant. The Brazilian also wore the colors of Barcelona between 2004 and 2007. He notably scored the winning goal in the 2006 Champions League final against Arsenal. Eight months after his retirement as a player, this is his first experience off the field.

A legacy to pass on

Busi will have the mission of sharing his immense experience at the highest level to the players of FC Barcelona Atletic (previously Barcelona B), which plays in the fourth Spanish division and which counts in its ranks the jewels of the Masiafrom which Sergio Busquets comes.
