FC Nantes, relegated to Ligue 2, is on the verge of finalizing the biggest sale in its history.

Relegated to Ligue 2, FC Nantes will have to reduce its lifestyle while remaining competitive to return to the elite of French football as quickly as possible. A not easy mission that the Canaries will have to try to fulfill without their star striker Matthis Abline.

According to The Teamthe transfer of the 23-year-old player is reportedly on track, and it is in Monaco that the Nantes center forward should soon land. “The two clubs are getting closer to an agreement”announces the sports daily on its site, which reveals the amount of the transaction.

The FCN would thus be on the verge of accepting an offer of 30 million euros from the ASM, which would allow Matthis Abline to break a record. The Canaries’ biggest sale so far is that of Nathan Zézé to Neom, in Saudi Arabia (€20 million excluding bonus).
