A new era begins at AC Milan. Arriving this weekend in Lombardy, Ruben Amorim will officially discover the Milanello training center on Tuesday. The Portuguese technician inherits a squad that he intends to profoundly reshape and has also benefited from the arrival of Gonçalo Ramos, recruited from Paris Saint-Germain for the enormous amount of €75 million, and is now in the process of reaching an agreement with Lazio Rome for the arrival of Spanish defender Mario Gila.
But beyond the recruits, it is above all a vast downsizing operation which awaits the former Manchester United technician. According to the Gazzetta dello Sportthat’s a total of eight players who are already no longer part of his plans and are invited to leave during this summer transfer window. Ismaël Bennacer, hampered by injuries and his high salary, is pushed towards the exit, as is the Frenchman trained at AS Nancy-Lorraine, Warren Bondo, estimated at around €8 million. Recently arrived, Pervis Estupiñán could also leave Milan for an offer of around €14 million.
Two tricolors concerned
Another French player concerned: Youssouf Fofana, whose contract expires in 2028, who remains awaiting a decision, even if the club hopes to recover at least €25 million for his departure. The offensive sector is not exempt from this major staff review. After a very disappointing season, Mexican international Santiago Giménez should be transferred for an amount exceeding €21 million after the arrival of Gonçalo Ramos. As for Rafael Leão, he officially remains on the market despite his status as a star of the squad.
The Milanese leaders are demanding at least €60 million to sell their Portuguese winger, while not ruling out the possibility of a loan accompanied by a purchase obligation. Ruben Loftus-Cheek is also among the players likely to leave Milanello this summer. The Englishman, whose profile no longer corresponds to Amorim’s requirements for its central defense, is valued at around €20 million. Finally, Fikayo Tomori, who was in the process of being extended, did not find an agreement with the Rossoneri and will therefore have to be sold to avoid a free start next summer. With so many open files, the AC Milan transfer window promises to be one of the most hectic in Europe.
