As usual, the Premier League teams reveal the names of the players who will leave at the end of the season. This Tuesday, it was Newcastle who took stock of the subject. After Kieran Trippier and Emil Krafth, 4 other players will leave the Magpies. The news was confirmed through an official press release.
“Among the goalkeepers who are leaving the team, we include John Ruddy and Max Thompson, while their teammate Mark Gillespie will remain with the squad for another year (…) Full-back Matt Targett is also leaving the club, after completing a season-long loan at Championship side Middlesbrough. Targett, one of Eddie Howe’s first signings, has made 47 appearances for the Magpies since arriving from Aston Villa in January 2022. Meanwhile, goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale will return to his original club Southampton following his season-long loan. Ramsdale has made 23 appearances in all competitions for the Magpies this season. All players leave the club with thanks and best wishes for the future from everyone at Newcastle United.”
