The coronation of RC Lens in the Coupe de France, Friday at the expense of OGC Nice, allows AS Monaco, 7th in Ligue 1, to regain the play-off place in the Conference League next summer.

We have the seven French clubs qualified for the European Cups next week and they are the first seven in the final Ligue 1 ranking. PSG, RC Lens and Losc will be at the Champions League meeting while OL, 4th, will have to survive the 3rd qualifying round and the play-offs, OM will compete in the Europa League just like Stade Rennais, which has been scheduled since this Friday evening and the victory of RC Lens in the final of the Coupe de France against OGC Nice (2-1).

Since the Niçois, 16th in the championship (and play-offs against AS Saint-Etienne next week), do not access any European Cup, it is the 7th in Ligue 1 who inherits the last continental jump seat, namely AS Monaco, which will compete in the Conference League play-offs at the end of August (20 and 27). In UEFA’s third competition, no team is directly qualified.

Monaco against Chelsea and in Kazakhstan

The Monegasques led by Paul Pogba (determined to play more for his second season on the Rock) are not safe from facing an important club if they participate in the first phase of the Conference, which only has six days. The representative of the Premier League will be Chelsea, that of the Serie A Atalanta, that of the Bundesliga Freiburg, recent finalist of the Europa League, and that of the Liga Getafe.

In this Conference League plateau, we could also find Rangers, Ajax, Salzburg or even Anderlecht. The smallest of the European cups can offer distant trips such as in Azerbaijan (against Qarabag or Sabah), in Norway (Lillestrom), in Lithuania (Riga FC) or even in Kazakhstan (Kairat).
