Called up by Luis Enrique during the Brest reception, who came on against Lens in the middle of the week, Dimitri Lucea started this time the final day of Ligue 1 against Paris FC last night. Taking advantage of the turnover made by Luis Enrique, the native of Tremblay-en-France played in a left-back role alongside the experienced Marquinhos. Yes, but despite the festive evening – dedicated to the celebrations of PSG’s 14th French champion title – the 19-year-old player experienced a little nightmare.

Facing Jonathan Ikoné and Willem Geubbels, the 1m89 left-hander quickly showed his excitement. Guilty of a first loss of the ball which could have benefited the PFC (8th), he then missed a Parisian center where Munetsi was very close to sanctioning this new dubious intervention (12th). In difficulty defensively and non-existent offensively, he saw his evening tarnish a little more during a violent clash with Ikoné in an aerial duel (26th).

A completely failed first

KO and taken care of by the trainers, the young Parisian hopeful, who passed through Lille, finally regained his place but not really his spirits. Still caught in the face of Ikoné’s dribbles, very close to opening the scoring with a beautiful curling shot (38th), he was finally called back by his coach at the break. Replaced by Dro Fernandez, Dimitri Lucea will certainly not have very good memories of this first tenure with PSG. A disappointing outing which should not call everything into question since it is part of a longer process of learning at a very high level.

If Luis Enrique did not want to overwhelm him after the defeat of his team (1-2), the Parisian technician did not hesitate to criticize the overall performance of his collective: “absolutely nothing positive about this match. In football, you always have to have ambition and intensity. These are normal things to have. I knew it would be difficult to find motivation for the players, but I am still very disappointed. Especially since I believe that you have duties when you are a Paris Saint-Germain player. For me, it must be different. I expect a lot more from my players. I always have a lot of respect for the players but we have to remain professional, with real intentions”. To the wise…
