In a few hours the list of players from the French team called up by Didier Deschamps to play in the World Cup this summer across the Atlantic (from June 11 to July 19) will be made public. This as part of the 8 p.m. news on TF1.
A priori, no surprises on the horizon. And if there was any doubt, there are indeed 26 names (the maximum authorized) that the national coach should cite on this occasion. That is three goalkeepers, eight defenders, six midfielders and nine offensive players.
The only notable question as the verdict approaches: the identity of the third goalkeeper to accompany Mile Maignan and Brice Samba. The downgrading of Lucas Chevalier at PSG puts a regular like Alphonse Areola back in the running. Unless Didier Deschamps rewards the last Lens bulwark recently named best goalkeeper in Ligue 1, Robin Risser.
Kolo Muani miraculously
Unfavorable weather on waivers, Eduardo Camavinga and Randal Kolo Muani should be on the trip to the United States. The first in a logic of doubling positions and versatility; the second thanks to Hugo Ekitike’s package. Among the big losers could be mentioned defender Maxence Lacroix and attacker Florian Thauvin in particular.
