It’s a soap opera set to last. The Spanish press has brought to light the serious incident that took place in the Real Madrid locker room during training this Thursday. The day after a big scuffle between Aurélien Tchouameni and Federico Valverde, the two players came to blows. The Uruguayan would have refused to shake his teammate’s hand, and would have accused him throughout the session of having leaked to the press the details of their altercation the day before.
The number 8 merengue did not stop there since he would not have let go of the Frenchman on the pitch, to the point of running into him several times and trying to injure him. Tchouameni would then have tried to speak with his captain at the end of the session, but the latter was visibly more interested in fighting. The shots finally went off in the locker room despite attempts by certain teammates to calm things down. Tchouameni allegedly delivered a violent punch to Valverde’s face, who fell to the ground and was subsequently taken to hospital. The Uruguayan reportedly lost consciousness and had to be sutured.
A disciplinary procedure opened internally
This Thursday evening, the Madrid club broke its silence with a press release. Without going into details, Real Madrid confirms the incidents of the day involving its two players, and announces the opening of disciplinary proceedings against the Frenchman and the Uruguayan.
“Real Madrid announces that, following the events that occurred this morning, the club has decided to open disciplinary proceedings against our players Fede Valverde and Aurélien Tchouaméni. The club will announce the outcome of both cases in due course, once the relevant internal procedures have been completed.indicates the club press release. According to the Spanish press, Federico Valverde should not be able to hold his place on Sunday during the Classico.
