As OM-Rennes approaches which should be decisive for European qualifications, Brice Samba did not hide his anger and his incomprehension about his suspension.

Defeated in Lyon (4-2) on Sunday evening, Stade Rennais missed the opportunity to settle on the Ligue 1 podium at the end of the 32nd day. Fifth in the standings, the Bretons will fight to the end to secure a European qualification, the best possible, and the trip to Marseille on the last day should prove decisive. It will undoubtedly be done without Brice Samba.

This is the other downside of the defeat against OL. Warned during the match, the Rennes goalkeeper will be suspended in Marseille for accumulation of yellow cards. And this annoys the French international, who believes that his sanction is not deserved.

Brice Samba deprived of OM-Rennes

Brice Samba received a yellow card following the penalty awarded to OL for a foul on Afonso Moreira. The former Lensois believes that he did not make a mistake. And he assures that Mr. Turpin confirmed to him that it was indeed Mousa Al-Tamari the author of the fault. The Jordanian striker shoves the Lyonnais behind the back, while Brice Samba, even if he does not touch the ball during his exit, does not touch the opposing player.

Under these conditions, one might wonder why it was Samba who received this yellow card. The Rennes goalkeeper asked the question to Mr. Turpin, who did not answer him.
” Incomprehension “, deplores the international tricolor, who does not hide disappointment: “It sucks.”

Brice Samba then raised the possibility of an appeal from his club, for this yellow card to be canceled, or possibly awarded to Al-Tamari. To be continued…
