OL won the closing clash of the 32nd round of Ligue 1 this Sunday at the expense of Stade Rennais (4-2). A potentially decisive success in the race for the Champions League.
While the Bretons opened the scoring with a gem from Al Tamari (6th), the Gones were able to turn the tide thanks to Yaremchuk (37th) and Tolisso (42nd from the penalty spot). An advantage lost upon returning from the locker room on a goal from the inevitable Lepaul (48th).
No time to procrastinate however, the Lyonnais quickly took the lead with a goal from Moreira (52nd), before the knockout goal from Endrick (75th).
So here is OL third in the championship with two points ahead of LOSC held in check by Le Havre earlier in the day (1-1). In an ideal position to join the C1 directly. Now relegated to four points behind its tormentor of the day, Rennes, on the other hand, lost big this Sunday.
