This winter, Paris FC had a very good idea. Losing momentum with Wolverhampton, Marshall Munetsi was flushed out by the capital club. Paris FC, looking for a player capable of bringing impact, volume of play and leadership, had bet on the 29-year-old Zimbabwean midfielder as part of a dry loan until the end of the season. Having experience in Ligue 1 after his adventure in Reims, Munetsi looked like a good idea. A bet quickly validated on the pitch.

Since his arrival at Jean-Bouin, Munetsi has been instrumental in the rise of Antoine Kombouaré’s team, scoring four goals in thirteen Ligue 1 matches and guiding the club away from the dangerous areas of the standings. A true boss of the midfield, the Zimbabwean international (34 caps, 2 goals) has established himself to become one of the most influential players in the Parisian squad. If Paris FC was able to quickly secure its continuation with a twelfth place in the elite, it is also partly thanks to the arrival of Munetsi.

Wolverhampton and Nottingham Forest close to an agreement but…

His performances did not fail to attract attention beyond French borders. According to our indiscretions, Nottingham Forest, a Premier League club, has checked Munetsi’s name to strengthen its midfield during the next summer transfer window. An interest far from trivial, since his former coach at Wolverhampton, Vitor Pereira, who knows the player’s qualities perfectly, is pushing internally for the transfer to succeed.

According to what we have been told, Wolverhampton, the club to which he still belongs, and Nottingham are close to an agreement in principle. Forest have already started discussions with the player’s entourage. However, the story could well continue in Paris. According to our information, Munetsi has suggested that he wishes to stay at Paris FC but no discussions have yet taken place with the capital club. For the moment, nothing has been decided, and the matter should be resolved in the coming weeks, at the end of the season.
