Hugo Lloris recently began his third season in MLS with Los Angeles FC. With remarkable performances to back it up.

Arriving in Los Angeles in the winter of 2024, from Tottenham, Hugo Lloris has started his third season in Major League Soccer, the North American football elite, in recent weeks. With a status as captain that he continues to confirm within an increasingly competitive league.

The former goalkeeper of the French team is all the more appreciated across the Atlantic as he has lost none of his skills in the cage. At the age of 39, the former Nice and Lyon player has had a great start to the 2026 financial year, with no less than eight clean sheets to his credit in nine matches played.

Soon a Champions Cup final?

It’s quite simple, this is an unrivaled performance in the United States. And profitable for LAFC which currently occupies third place in the Western Conference standings despite lackluster performances. This weekend again, the 2018 world champion made five decisive saves against Minnesota United to allow his team to win by the narrowest of margins (1-0).

And the Californian club can count on its last tricolor rampart to soon reach the final of the CONCACAF Champions Cup (the equivalent of the Champions League in North America) at the expense of the Mexicans of Deportivo Toluca (half first leg on April 30, return on May 7).
