Paul Pogba is returning to the field. After remaining on the bench against Marseille, the world champion celebrated his 4th appearance of the season last weekend during Monaco’s heavy defeat at Paris FC (4-1). The midfielder still needs continuity and rhythm but he is on the right track. For the World Cup, however, the bet seems lost. He himself has given up on it, according to this exchange with an ASM supporter.

“Will you play the World Cup again in 2026?», asks the latter after collecting his autograph. “No, and if I can give you Deschamps’ number, you talk to him», the 33-year-old had fun responding, in a joking tone of course. Pogba (91 caps, 11 goals) has not played with the Blues for more than 4 years now. His last appearance dates back to March 29, 2022 in a 5-0 friendly match victory against South Africa.
