After losing his number one place in the PSG goal at the end of last year, Lucas Chevalier could find a starting place soon.

Soon the end of a long ordeal? Arriving last summer at Paris Saint-Germain from Lille to succeed Gianluigi Donnarumma, Lucas Chevalier lost his starting place during the season. This is due to average performances during the first part of the season and to Matvey Safonov who knew how to seize his chance.

Since last December, the Russian goalkeeper has reversed the hierarchy. He notably scored big points during his penalty shootout in the Intercontinental Cup final against Flamengo, during which he stopped four attempts.

Author of another high-flying performance last Tuesday at Anfield, where PSG won (0-2) and validated their ticket for the last four of the Champions League, Matvey Safonov should continue this Sunday. According to The Parisianthe Russian is expected in goal for the clash of the 30e day of Ligue 1, Sunday evening at the Parc des Princes, against OL.

Knight titular Wednesday?

On the other hand, for the late match against FC Nantes, scheduled for next Wednesday (7 p.m.), Lucas Chevalier could be started, again according to the regional daily. It must be said that Luis Enrique should be in action for this meeting against the Canaries.

As a reminder, Lucas Chevalier has not played since January 23. It was during a trip by the Parisians to Auxerre (0-1 victory for Paris).
