Despite their status as European leaders, Chelsea and Barcelona had a rather mixed start to the European campaign. Respectively twelfth and eleventh in the ranking of the
League stagethe Blues and the Blaugrana blow hot and cold. If this Tuesday’s clash is certainly the most enticing poster of the evening on paper, it could result in an electric balance of power between two teams that are difficult to decipher. With its athletic strength, the London club has the assets to undermine Barça.

Because Hansi Flick’s team does not offer many guarantees on the defensive level. His fragility has cost him a lot of points since the start of the season, and this trip to Stamford Bridge should further underline it, three weeks after a draw as spectacular as it was worrying in Bruges (3-3). The good news, however, concerns the infirmary, which is gradually emptying in the Barcelona ranks. Lamine Yamal should make his return, while Raphinha has already resumed on Saturday against Athletic Bilbao (4-0). Opposite, Chelsea will be deprived of their star Cole Palmer.

The expected compositions

Chelsea : Sanchez; James, Adarabioyo, Chalobah, Cucurella; Caicedo, Fernandez; Neto, Pedro, Garnacho; Delap.

Barcelona : J.Garcia; Kounde, E. Garcia, Cubarsi, Balde; Casado, De Jong; Yamal, Lopez, Torres; Lewandowski.
