Present at a press conference this Friday, Luis Enrique congratulated Achraf Hakimi, newly elected African Ballon d’Or 2025 at the CAF Awards in Rabat. Indeed, the PSG coach praised an exceptional season from his right side. “Hakimi was at a very high level. This is my third year here and he has been great on offense and defense. I laugh about it with him because he’s not a full-back, he does everything”slipped the Spaniard with a smile.
Luis Enrique, however, recalled that at PSG, the priority remained collective performance before personal distinctions. “Individual trophies are a bit weird… Players have to think about being important to the team first, like Hakimi does”he insisted. For his part, Hakimi becomes the first Parisian to win the African Ballon d’Or, a logical reward after his XXL season.
