Ousmane Dembélé injured in the calf, Nuno Mendes victim of a sprained ankle, Désiré Doué injured in the thigh, Achraf Hakimi injured in the ankle and possibly at the CAN this winter… The Parisian infirmary is always full. Under the combined effect of all these absences and the sequence of matches, PSG will quickly have to react.

For several days now, it has been rumored that Paris wants to strengthen the right-back position, where Achraf Hakimi has no real understudy. The name of Eric Garcia has often come up, the Spaniard fulfilling the specifications of the profile targeted by Paris, namely a versatile defender. According to our information, an experienced midfielder and a striker capable of playing on the wings are also in demand.

Luis Enrique says he is “open” to reinforcements

Present at a press conference this Saturday on the eve of the trip to Lyon, Luis Enrique was invited to speak about the possibility of seeing new faces arriving in Paris soon. Not obsessed with this idea, he still said he was “open”, something new so far. “We are always open to the transfer window and the different possibilities, but no urgency, no concerns. We have a plan, we think not only about positive things, but also negative things“, he explained.

“At the moment there are no problems apart from injuries, but all the teams have injuries, we are calm and quiet, we are open (for the transfer window) and serene.” Concerning the right-back position, left vacant for several weeks following the injury to Achraf Hakimi against Bayern Munich, Luis Enrique declared that he would call on David Boly, a 16-year-old player. The Parisian titi will be in the group tomorrow against OL, a first for him.
