Tottenham goalkeeper retires at 27 to become photographer

Alfie Whiteman, former Tottenham goalkeeper, decided to end his career at just 27 years old to devote himself to photography and cinema. Trained at the London club and member of the squad that won the Europa League last year, he explains that he quickly felt the weight of life as a stereotypical footballer: “golf, the Gucci bag, the car… we become a reflection of our environment”does he have to The Athletic.
