Last weekend, Paris Saint-Germain made their comeback in Ligue 1, against Lorient (0-0). At the end of a fairly dull and unexciting meeting, the Parisians lacked creativity in the midfield. Blame it no doubt on the absence of Neymar, Kylian Mbappé, but also Marco Verratti. The Italian, announced on the departure in recent days, has not yet found a buyer. Worse, or better according to some, the midfielder could be forced to stay in the capital, if the situation were to end there.
RMC Sports explains that Marco Verratti’s XXL salary surely blocks many European clubs. Paris, which recently saw Al-Hilal point the tip of its nose by offering 45 M€ on the table for the “Little Owl”, is claiming more than 50. To enlist the Italian, the clubs are therefore forced to put a huge transfer fee, in addition to a monstrous salary. The player, however, hopes to stay in Europe. The situation is delicate, and if it does not move forward, Verratti could well stay at PSG this season, even if he does not seem to be in Luis Enrique’s plans…
